Aboutthissite
The Michigan House was the ONLY state chamber in the nation to flip from Democrat to Republican in 2024. Michigan House Republicans took the majority on January 8, 2025, and Speaker Matt Hall was elected with all 110 votes.
We've gotten a lot done in split government. Republicans lead the House; Democrats hold the Senate and the governor's office.
